Questions
How big must a VvE's reserve fund be at least?
The law sets no minimum size, only a minimum yearly reservation: the amount from a valid maintenance plan (MJOP), or without one 0.5% of the rebuild value a year.
Where do I find the rebuild value?
On the policy schedule of the VvE's building insurance. If it hasn't been revalued in a long time, the norm comes out too low and the building may be underinsured.
Is a reserve fund mandatory?
Yes. Every VvE must have a reserve fund since 2005, and since 2018 residential buildings must set aside a minimum each year. How to check as a buyer whether it's enough.
